If you only have 20 min, just jump into a pvp system and nuke some Klingons or hop on your Klingon toon and kill some puny Federation players.

When you get on next, you are in the same spot and just pick up where you left off.

It's very handy to "pick up and put down". No need to take 2 hours riding to a mob spawn, fear of being rolled when going afk for 2 min to deal with kids/phone, or loosing a city as you sleep. Log in, play some, and log out between mission steps.

Or I can take 30-40 min and run a mission chain to clear a system, them beam to the planet and rescue some trapped scientists, then beam back and fight off some Nosicans before warping out to return the scientists.

If you liked City of Heroes/Villians you will feel very comfortable playing STO, and if you liked Eve you will enjoy the space parts.

agree 100% about the spanw in points/respawn locations being the same for klingons... an event like that should have had a special pvp... they didnt put a lot of thought into it

Many took it as proof that they have no real intention of doing anything for the Klingon faction (they have no real content other than storyline text, and no real away missions, with only space "fly here shoot that NPC and repeat" missions). With the beta "event" so 1 sided, many were saying they would not get the game until much later once more Klingon stuff was added and updated.

Was a very half-assed, pure last minute thought feel to an otherwise decent beta. Very anti-climatic and utterly dissapointing. Really put a lot of people off.

Deves made a half assed attempt to draw them off by having Borg cubes spawn in as well to attack, but they just camped that single spawn point as well.

What happened was there was no announcement when to start, so ppl started warping in 1 at a time. The Feds found the only spawn point, and camped them enmass ganking them before they loaded the screen, and again as they respawned in the same place.

Man the STO beta end event sucked. Klingons were to all warp to Federation space and a mass war was to happen for 4 hours.
